Installation and Wiring / Drive Enable

!The Drive Enable circuitry and firmware for the InoDrive are designed to meet STO at SIL-3 and SBC at SIL-3. An official certification of this design is pending. Until this certification is finalized, you must treat the InoDrive as uncertified in any safety risk assessment for your particular application. Drive Enable Connections – without external drive enable circuit

If your application is such that removing input power is a safe and acceptable means of disabling the InoDrive, then you can install the supplied jumper wires as shown. When the drive is powered up with these jumpers installed, the motor drive will be enabled for motion based upon the User’s configuration and downloaded program. If either jumper is removed, the motor drive will be disabled and will not run regardless of the User’s configuration or downloaded program.

Drive Enable Connections – WITH external drive enable circuit

If your application requires a separate means to disable the drive motion apart from disconnecting input power, connect your drive enable circuit to the InoDrive as shown. Opening either contact will cause the InoDrive to disconnect motor power and the motor will coast to a stop regardless of the User’s configuration or downloaded program.
