Additional Gearing

For applications where you need to compensate for an end motion that utilizes further gear reduction than what is included with the motor in the defined and selected Axis Resource; you can configure this by using the settings option with the Configure Axis block.

Click the settings icon in the upper left corner to display the Additional Configuration window. From there check the Additional Gearing checkbox and the Configure Axis block displays the entry fields for this function. You can provide the gear ration as a Decimal number or as a Fraction. In this example, we selected Fraction and made our ratio 12:1
