Introduction to InoWorx / Trouble Shooting / Establish Certificate Authority

Why do I need a Cardinal Kinetic Certificate Authority?

Certificate Authorities act as a digital notary that certifies a website is legitimate. A HTTP connection must be made with our InoDrive in order to transfer necessary data from our Programmer and other InoWorx platform products. In order to garner the trust of your operating system we must provide a certificate authority, or CA, which will allow you to use our InoWorx Environment unobstructed by modern safeguards which protect you from illegitimate sites.

Importing a CA tells your browser to trust certificates issued by this CA, and the InoDrive is hosting a certificate, thus making the whole exchange trusted and permissible. This exchange would otherwise be inaccessible. It’s like adding a key to your keyring that only opens this particular door to the whole InoWorx platform. If at any point you don’t need to trust this service anymore, you can remove the CA from your browser quite easily through similar settings as you find below for your OS.
