Motion / Motor Command / Single Turn Rotary Axis Commands

The following table lists the Motor Commands intended for use for single turn rotary axes with units defined as sectors of the rotational circle.

Item Description
Shortest Distance Instructs the motor to move to the sector contained in the operand based upon the shortest path along the rotational circle.
Longest Distance Instructs the motor to move to the sector contained in the operand based upon the longest path along the rotational circle.
Positive Instructs the motor to move to the sector contained in the operand based upon rotating in the direction of increasing sector values along the rotational circle.
Negative Instructs the motor to move to the sector contained in the operand based upon rotating in the direction of decreasing sector values along the rotational circle.
Multi-Turn Instructs the motor to move to the sector contained in the operand based upon taking the modulo of the value in sectors to determine the number of full rotations and the remainder to be the destination sector after the final full rotation.
