Resources / Profiles / Using Profiles

Any program Block that causes or stops motion on an Axis required a Profile to be chosen as an operand so that the InoDrive knows how to treat the motor. You can create as many Profiles as you need and you can modify a defined Profile at run time by using the Modify Profile block in your program just prior to executing your desired motion or stop command.

As an example we have created 3 Profiles for use in our program. Please note that the values and units are displayed for each Profile in the list. Please note that you can Edit and Delete profiles from the list.
In our example, we have placed a Motor Command block into the Main Loop and clicked the Profile operand. The Profiles list appears. From there you can either highlight the row or click the selection checkbox, then click the Select button to insert the selected Profile into your instruction block.
In our example, once we have selected the Profile, the list window automatically closes the name appears in the operand for the block.
