Programming Reference / Math / Get Variable
Get Variable allows you to select a user defined Variable from the Resources list of variables and assign it as the operand to an instruction. The following example will show you how to create the variable “Motor Speed” which is shown here. |
Creating a Variable
When you click the word “Variable” in the entry field, the Variables dialog will be displayed for you to select from.
Once we click the “Create New” button, the Variable dialog appears. Enter the name and select a data type, the type, and the API access. Please note this is the only place to change API access, if you want to change visibility/editability later you will have to redownload your program to the InoDrive. If you would prefer the value to be displayed in Hexideciman or Binary then you may change that here, and if it is an array please click the array toggle and further configure from there. Finally click “Create”.
Now that the variable has been created, check the check box to select the item then click the “Select “button to assign it to the operand. |
